Most people live with an undercurrent of fear. Most of our lives, for a great many people, we are just trying to quell that fear to a manageable point. This is done by eating, dreaming, screaming, working, holding, petting, shopping, praying. Even worship and meditation is done due to this underlying current of fear. We try to lessen its effects but it is continuously working on our bodies, minds and spirit. Some people get to a point where they see the effects of fear and try to release it through meditation or yoga or simple surrender. Others do not and they are basically being consumed by fear. It is better to fight (or surrender to) an enemy you know than one you do not know. So see fear for what it is by shining light on it. Take it out of the shadows or from under your bed and expose it. Life’s struggles will ease when you do.
