Each of us is like a pearl in a chain: we are each individually perfect but together make something entirely different, something that has a function, is breath-takingly beautiful, and spans a much greater distance than one small round stone. That which holds us together is love. Love is life and life is love. Without that love connector, we would be rolling around alone, aimlessly unconnected and unfulfilled and unfulfilling to the greater good. Luckily there is love to bind us, one by one, in a chain of perfect, yet slightly flawed, individual pieces, to a collective chain circling mother earth. Wouldn’t it be nice if our human chain actually enhanced our host mother, Gaia, instead of harming her? Enhancing her as they did in ancient times, with great pyramids and temples and images etched on the ground to honor her? That is where we need to go, that is what we need to do . . . use our human chain of love to beautify instead of destroy. Let’s do that.
