You have so much. We focus on the lack and forget to see all the abundance in our presence. Many see the dichotomy of the starving and the struggled of other lands with most here in this land. More and more each day, however, the lines blur. People are finding “hardships” here that haven’t been seen since the great depression. It appears to us, those struggling, at a distance quite near. Then we can recognize better the fragile hungry child in Africa or India. They seem less foreign now. Most who are suffering in this culture do so in their mental bodies more than their physical. They can find food and drink but are starving in their heads and hearts. They may be suffering even more than the starving child. But struggle is struggle and hardship is hardship and it is here to provide what? Lessons? Feelings of hope? A connection to our maker? Spiritual growth? We each have our own framework of understanding. I’ll allow you yours so I can focus on mine. But at the same time, too, I feel your pain. We are all starting to feel more and more of the other. We are less sorry for ourselves and more sorry for the general condition. That is a step in the right direction. One is where we are going. Taking steps toward the center can create some heartache and tears but it is temporary and it is a process. Keep up the good work.
