Ties that bind, ties that bend, ties that restrict – are all part of the fabric of life.  You are the sister to one, the ex-wife of another, a best friend to another:  all with different ties of varying degrees.  How do you view your connections?  Do you see them all as weighing you down:  strangling you or pulling at your core?  Do you see some as a chain link providing strength?  Or is there a combination of the two, depending on who you are dealing with?  What if they were all strengthening?  What if all those you “deal” with, make you strong; allow you to grow?  Some may act like their sole purpose in life is to knock you down: what if you don’t see them that way at all, but instead see them as a key player in your passion play?  If you ever find yourself floating freely, without any ties, where would you go – insane?  Even in death, ties remain:  the memories bring the spirit alive into the heart and soul of the person left alone on “this side,” waiting to meet again.  Just for today, look at your people, your players, as threads in your fabric of life and be thankful for ALL of them;  ALL OF THEM.
