Talk is cheap; actions speak louder than words; walk the talk: we’ve all heard these expressions and for the most part, they make a valid statement. Doing is different than saying (I’m just saying . . .) and in that doing is where the crux lies. However, that being said, we need to be conscientious of our speech as well. To be “impeccable with our word” is for what we should strive: the words chosen carefully, with every intention that the corresponding action will follow. This is not an easy task. Now that things are speeding up . . . our communications are more plentiful and brief. They can also be said to be more shallow and weak (as compared to communications of the past). Where before there was a handshake and mutual agreements, now there is an email and a broken promise. Even though things are getting faster all around you, try for today to be conscientious of your words and deed.
