We have so many influences around us: our culture, our family, our neighbor, the dog. Out of all these, it might be best to be influenced by the latter. Each of us innately knows the truth, deep inside – yet it is the outside forces that cause us to act differently. It is our outside influences that create the contrast needed for learning and growing while here on planet earth. Think of how influenced we are by our surroundings. It is scary in a way. We want to live in peace and love and we don’t. Why don’t we: because our culture, friends and family are interacting with us and constantly aggravating our place of peace and love. Most are just trying to remain on their path of peace and love and they feel aggravated by us! The key, of course, is obvious – to interact, learn and grow while staying in our peaceful space. Though, oftentimes the learning comes when we stumble off the path – out of our safe zone. So don’t be surprised or discouraged when that happens to you. It takes that rattling to create the new understanding. All is learning, and all is good.
