Take the time to breathe. Feel the air enter your lungs, then exit. Do it again. And then a third time. Don’t we at least have the right to feel that we are living? Of course we do. What about eating and sleeping? Of course we do. What about laughing and crying? Of course. Let us look to the children for inspiration on this: if they are tired, they sleep – regardless of where their head may fall. If they are hungry, they eat (or demand to); if they are upset, they cry. And best of all, if they are happy, joyous, they show it by running and laughing and screaming with delight. Let’s try some of that today as well. Breathe in and out and feel it, cry if you want to, scream with delight. In a word: LIVE!
