When you notice yourself feeling down, ask yourself – is this all mine? Breathe in and out and ask that all energy that does not serve you flow out of your body and into mother earth where it is cleansed, down through a grounding cord (or imagine your feet are like the roots of a tree and they branch out down into the earth) and you release unwanted energy that way. Breathe in and out – are you feeling better? If you still feel down – it may still be other energies you are picking up on and not your own. It could be from a family member or two, a lover, your work environment. It could be the collective consciousness: possibly something happened in the news that is making everyone upset, or something as simple as a Monday can send the collective into a tail spin. My point here is if it is not your “stuff” let it go. Put a protective covering of light around your body to protect yourself; call on the light to illuminate your every move. Stay tuned in to the source with meditation, yoga and prayer or a nice walk in the woods. Be the light you are as often as you can – for the world, in general, and you and those you relate to, in particular, could use more and more and more light (and love and forgiveness).
