Can you see the truth when it is happening around you?  Are you able to see the fake and the façade?  We have a lot of façade in this culture, though many of us base our purpose around this “other” fake life, while turning their back on what is real.  Breathing in and out:  that is real.  Walking in the woods and communing with nature:  that is real.  Feeding our families and keeping a safe shelter for them is real.  Television, computer games, keeping up with the Jones’ on what to buy for Christmas:  not very real -but a big distraction that many are using to define their lives.  Our lives have gotten away from the realness.  Your spouse, friends and family are real; your grandmother who is laying in the nursing home alone:  she is real.  It is okay to be entertained – so enjoy your football games and television shows.  What I am saying is to not base your reality on these things.  Your reality is simple, natural, and interactive with others.  Enjoy it today.  Interchanges between people to people can give much greater satisfaction and spiritual awareness than any people to something electronic could ever do.  If you want to clean up your karma and develop on the path – put down that remote and get out there in the real world.
