Finding yourself is like finding your soul mate – yes, you can live without them, but oh, when you find them – it completes you. People who are bullies and cheaters and haters and those who lie, have not yet found themselves – they are still playing those silly character (or lack there-of) games. They don’t know how to be authentic because they haven’t found themselves, so they don’t know there is even someone to be authentic with (true to, honest with, expression there-of).
It is important to find yourself and you’ll know when that has happened because you will start to feel balanced and purposeful and powerful (in a true sense) all at the same time. You won’t be able to find and “get” all the various aspects of yourself initially, but knowing you are there to explore is the very first step.
How do you find yourself? Sit and listen. Clear out all the thoughts of your head and wait. Eventually when you wait long enough, you will start to hear a voice – a guiding voice. Is that your true self? You will know because the ideas expressed from this voice won’t be laced with your normal personality – the one who has experienced all the pain, doubt, anger and resentment. It won’t be the “dirty sponge” you, but you are looking for and waiting to hear from the cleaner, clearer you: that which is less affected by the daily ins and out of the world. Listen and wait and you will start to hear your true self; listen and wait and you will begin to feel the real you; as you walk around with your real self, you will start to see your true self shining through (breaking through the cracks of all the crust and corrosion life has put on the old you). As you grow in your light, the old exterior breaks down even further and allows the light to project forth from your true self, that which is the light, and an expression, of the divine source.
